Please reach us at info@oasisosteopathy.ca if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Oasis Osteopathy is an Osteopathic manual therapy practice that offers hands on, gentle and non-invasive osteopathic treatment. We are holistic in our approach of how the body is extremely powerful in its ability to self-heal and self-regulate itself. We are simply stepping in to ensure that your body's systems are communicating properly, effectively and are functioning for what is normal for your unique body.

Oasis Osteopathy offers one on one osteopathic manual therapy sessions that range from 20 to 30 minutes session times.

You can schedule an appointment by clicking on the "book now" button, calling our office at 226-235-1784 or by filling out the appointment request form on our website.

You can find us at 511 Edinburgh road south, unit 101, Guelph, Ontario. N1G 4S5

We are currently operating out of the Dr. Bonnie Keys Chiropractor clinic at this location.

The easiest way to find us is to park behind the building (big red brick building that says "South City Centre"  on the side) and access through the back door. We will be the first door on the right!

  • Session times can vary, this is due to every person being different in the severity of their concerns as well as how your body responds to treatment on any particular day!
  • This means that even though we may schedule you for a 30 minute treatment time. Treatment may be 25 minutes one day, and then 20 the next.
  • Reasons for not treating for the full allotted time for every person is that if too much treatment is performed. it can have a negative effect on your health as it becomes too much change for your body to handle, leading to possibly worsening your condition and not improving it.

Our Osteopathic Practitioners are OSTCAN Certified, which is the highest level of certification attainable in Canada and is covered by many plans.

However, not all plans are covered or have a different breakdown of coverage . We highly recommend to contact your insurance provider before attending your session to know what your coverage is.

We ask that you give us at least 24 hours notice if you have to cancel. That way it gives us the chance to fit someone else in at that time to receive care.

We do understand that emergencies happen and will make decisions on a case by case basis for cancellations within the 24 hour policy.

First of all, congratulations on your first session! We appreciate your trust and time that you are giving us and will work to exceed your expectations!

You will receive an email within 24hrs that will have a health history and consent form attached to it. Please fill this out as soon as possible (at least 24hrs before your session) as to give the practitioner time to review the form to ensure they are ready to give you the best possible care.

There are two main things to consider.

#1: Wear what is comfortable for you. Your treatment should be a relaxing experience, so wear clothing that helps you feel comfortable and relaxed.

#2: Wear some thing that is loose enough to allow for your arms, legs and body to move without being restricted by the clothing. (i.e. Try not to wear skinny jeans).

Pending on your age and degree of treatment given. Some people feel no difference following treatment outside of being able to move around more comfortably and feeling stronger.

It is not uncommon to feel tired a few hours after treatment, as if you took a long walk or had a good workout. As this is part of the healing process where your body is using energy to heal and upbuild your health to areas that were not getting adequate nutrition.

Some people report feeling sore the following day or two as if they had done a workout, this is also part of the healing process.

It is recommended that you avoid heavy weights or intense exercise for 24-48 hours following treatment. As it takes time for your body to take on the treatment and introducing strenuous exercise/heavy load onto the body can undo the results of the treatment.

Note: You can workout right before treatment! Which is preferred, as the body is prepared for movement and we can help optimize your recovery!
