John Holliday - Osteopathic Manual Practitioner

Hello there! My name is John Holliday and I am the founder of Oasis Osteopathy.

My journey into Osteopathy began through my own experience as a patient. After years of dealing with persistent knee, shoulder, and back pain—and finding little relief through physiotherapy and athletic therapy—I decided to give Osteopathy a chance. To my surprise, after just a handful of treatments, I was pain-free! Inspired and intrigued by how effective the care was, I knew that I wanted to dedicate myself to learning the practice.

Determined to study at the most highly regarded Osteopathy school in Canada, I enrolled in the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in 2021, a rigorous four-year program with over 4,200 hours of curriculum and 1,500 hours of hands-on training. In August 2025, I earned my Master in Practice Diploma of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences (M.OMSc) and I am proud to be an OSTCAN-certified Osteopathic Manual Practitioner.

I also have attained a Graduate Diploma in Exercise Science for Health and Performance (Niagara College, 2018), an Undergraduate Degree in Kinesiology (Brock University, 2017), and a Fitness and Health Promotion Diploma (Niagara College, 2015).

Before pursuing Osteopathy as a full-time career, I built over a decade of experience in the health and fitness field through one-on-one personal training, coaching fitness classes and work in physiotherapy clinics. I have supported a wide variety of clients—including athletes, older adults, individuals living with chronic conditions, going through pregnancy and people with limb loss. I have worked with those who had no prior health or exercise background, guiding them in a way that maximized the benefits of movement while minimizing the risk of injury. This hands-on, individualized experience gave me a deep appreciation for how unique each body is, and it continues to shape my osteopathic practice today by helping me learn and personalize care to each person’s needs and goals.

With this diverse background, I combine a deep understanding of anatomy, movement, and manual therapy to provide all of my patients with holistic osteopathic care that supports the body’s natural ability to heal.
